Terms of use
Last updated: November 7, 2026
These terms of use (“terms”) set out the rules for using the Notame mobile app (“the app”). By creating an account or signing in, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. Publisher
Notame is published by Hugo Vaugrenard, a private individual. Full details are in the legal notice. Contact: support@notame.app.
2. The service
Notame lets members rate the people they know and discover how others see them. Each member can:
- create a profile with their first name, last name and, if they wish, a photo, their country and their gender;
- write a review of another member: a rating from 0 to 5, a comment, an optional photo and an assessment of personality traits;
- view their average rating, how it changes over time, their position in the leaderboard and their personality profile, calculated from the reviews they receive.
The app is free and contains no advertising.
3. Access and account
- Notame is only for people aged 18 or over. An account belonging to a minor is deleted.
- You create your account with your real identity (first and last name) and accurate information. You do not impersonate anyone else.
- One account per person. Creating several accounts, in particular to influence ratings, is prohibited.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for access to your email address, which is used to confirm sensitive actions. Let us know promptly if you think someone else is using your account.
4. Reviews
- You can write one review per member. You cannot review yourself.
- Reviews are not anonymous: the person reviewed and other members can see who wrote them.
- You can edit or delete the reviews you have written at any time.
- You cannot delete the reviews you receive. If a review breaks these terms, report it (see section 7).
- A review expresses its author’s sincere, personal opinion about someone they know. It is neither an established fact nor an assessment by the publisher.
- The personality profile reflects how other members perceive you. It is not a diagnosis.
5. Code of conduct
Notame is built on respect between members. In your reviews, profile and photos, you must not publish:
- insults, harassment, threats or content intended to humiliate someone;
- defamatory content, meaning false statements of fact that damage a person’s honour or reputation;
- hateful or discriminatory content (origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, etc.);
- private information about someone: address, phone number, information about their health, sex life, political or religious opinions;
- a photo of another person without their consent, or any sexual or violent photo;
- any content concerning a minor;
- illegal content, advertising or spam.
It is also prohibited to manipulate ratings or the leaderboard (fake accounts, exchanged or paid reviews, coordinated reviews against someone), to disrupt the app or to extract its data by automated means.
6. Your content
You remain responsible for the reviews, text and photos you publish. You guarantee that you have the right to publish them, in particular photos.
To run the service, you authorise the publisher, free of charge and for the lifetime of your account, to host, reproduce and display this content in the app to other members. This authorisation ends when the content or your account is deleted.
7. Reporting and moderation
- Any review can be reported from the app with the “Report” button. You can also report a profile or illegal content by writing to support@notame.app, stating the content concerned and the reason for your report.
- The publisher reviews reports as quickly as possible.
- If these terms are breached, the publisher may remove the content concerned, or suspend or delete its author’s account. Except in urgent or serious cases, the member concerned is informed of the decision and the reason for it, and can challenge it by writing to support.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it erases your profile, the reviews you have written and those you have received. The steps are described on the Delete my account page.
9. Availability of the service
The app is under development. The publisher strives to keep it available at all times but cannot guarantee it: it may be interrupted, in particular for maintenance, and its features may change. The publisher may end the service; if so, members are notified in advance.
10. Liability
The publisher hosts the content published by members without checking it before publication. It is not responsible for this content, but acts promptly to remove clearly illegal content as soon as it becomes aware of it.
The publisher cannot be held liable for use of the app that breaches these terms, or for interruptions beyond its control.
11. Intellectual property
The Notame name, logo and app elements are the property of the publisher. Any reproduction without permission is prohibited.
12. Personal data
How your personal data is used is described in the privacy policy.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. In the event of a significant change, you will be notified in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you continue to use the app after the change, you accept the new terms; otherwise, you can delete your account.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a disagreement, please first write to support@notame.app to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts.
15. Language
These terms are a translation of the French version. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
